Barbara Green
I came to my first RHAM show about 6 years ago. We showed up with a yearling, our kids, and a dream. We wanted to find a place that our family could grow, complete, and have community with like-minded people. Right away we were warmly welcomed and introduced to great people who could help guide our journey. I’m so thankful for a place that grows and supports the next generation, and I want to be invested in that. Ranch horse is more than just shows, it’s a lifestyle with values that are worth passing down and preserving. We’ve been blessed to help with cowboy church, and we’ve seen it steadily grow over the past couple years! Our Ranch Horse family has something special, and we want to keep that. As well as helping make improvements and bring new ideas. My husband Ceatin and I truly care about this association and the bright future ahead!
Sam Holwerda
Hi everybody, let me introduce myself. My name is Sam Holwerda. I have been your show manager for the last four years. I have been vice president a few times. Overall, you have all seen and met me either through text, email or face-to-face. Or just talking on the phone. I’m hoping to be voted on as a board member for the next two years so I can continue to help this organization grow. If you know me, then you know my heart is this organization! I have been on the board for 15 years. So please take a moment and vote for me.
Jen Miklic
Hello! My name is Jen Miklic, and I recently completed my third season showing with RHAM. This club has truly been the most welcoming and supportive organization I’ve ever been a part of. Each member brings something special, and the kindness and encouragement I’ve experienced here mean so much to me. I’m incredibly grateful to be nominated alongside such wonderful and talented individuals. If chosen, I will do my very best to continue supporting and advancing our club in a positive way. As a relatively new member, I’m especially passionate about helping spread awareness about RHAM, building on the strong foundation we already have, and ensuring that new members feel welcomed, supported, and included.
A little about me, I’ve worked in the software industry for over 30 years, but my journey with horses began only about five and a half years ago. It all started with a simple trail ride—which quickly turned into lessons, then buying my first horse (and a cow!), and eventually managing a barn that’s now home to 9 horses, 9 cows, and 6 goats. My life has been enriched in countless ways by these animals, and I’m so thankful for the joy and balance they bring.
Kyle Olberg
My name is Kyle Olberg, I am the current RHAM president. My wife Kim and I have been involved with RHAM for the past 4 years. We were welcomed to RHAM with open arms, and I would like to continue that to all future members. I have been involved with many different organizations over the years and understand what it takes to keep things moving smoothly and efficiently. I truly enjoy being involved in such a great organization.
Helen Raseman
My name is Helen Raseman. I live in Kalamazoo County. I have been showing and breeding horses for many years. I’m a current member of RHAM. I show in amateur classes. I’ve been on the board of the Michigan reining horse association before. Having learned it takes a lot of hard-working people to keep things going. I’d like to see RHAM keep growing and keep its personal touch of welcoming new members.
