 2015 RHAM BOARD NOMINEE BIOS:

2015 RHAM Board of Directors Ballot Form

NATTALEE SMITH

Hello, my name is Nattalee Smith. I am nineteen years old and just graduated last year from Dowagiac Union High School. I am now attending Southwestern Michigan Collage in order to become a nurse. I have shown horses for many years and have been a part of RHAM for six years.

  EDIE LUCKETT

Hello, my name is Edie Luckett and I have always loved horses but took my first riding lessons in 2011.

My second lesson was a trip to watch the RHAM horse show in July and she was hooked!

I have been a RHAM member since 2012 and bought my first horse following that season. My mare, Duallin Jewels, have shown for 2 years.

Outside of horses, I work in both the technical and management roles in health care for over 30 years at both clinical and research settings. I am married to Greg and am a mom and grandma.

  JIM HARROFF

  How do all!

My name is Jim Harroff.   Along with my wife Sharon, we live in Bristol, IN.  I am originally from Buchanan, MI and Sharon is from Constantine, MI.  I am employed by Stealth Cargo Trailers and run our sawdust delivery business.

Over the course of my 45 years involvement with horses, I have shown 4-H, Open Shows, MAWHC, MI Appaloosa and West MI Appaloosa.  I have show ponies, Appaloosas, Quarter horses, Paint horses and Arabians.  My areas of showing have been halter and pleasure horses.

Then I started team roping.  Along those lines, I headed and heeled, team penned, sorted, cow catch and turned back bucking bulls and picked-up at rodeos.

In 2014 we decided to show Ranch horses while bringing Yogi along to replace Bubba in roping.  (my 28 year old gelding).

We enjoy the closeness of the shows at Berrien.  I was on the horse committee for several years and still on the Fair Association membership. I have also been involved on the Buchanan Westerners riding club and on the Board of Directors.

We have truly enjoyed this past year being a part of RHAM.  It’s been a pleasure to see old friends and make new ones showing this year.

I feel my past professional experience and past positions on numerous committees and associations will be of a great value in being a director for the RHAM board.

My phone is always on with questions, comments or concerns.

Whether elected or not I have one thing to say to all exhibitors and members.  The club is run by a Board Of Directors.  If you like something let them know.  If you don’t like something, let them know.  If you aren’t willing to get involved and be active, don’t complain.  Everybody should experience both sides of the association, as an exhibitor and behind the scenes.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

 GINA DEMEYER

I was introduced to the Ranch Horse Association of Michigan when I attended two clinics hosted by RHAM. Immediately, I knew this was the place for me and my horse and I became a member on the spot in 2012.

I’ve been on the board and have been the secretary for RHAM since 2013. I am honored to be part of such a great group of people – from the board to the members, RHAM is an incredible organization. Being on the board provides a behind the scenes look at what efforts are required for every RHAM function and show.

If re-elected, I will continue to work with the board to help RHAM grow while keeping in mind what is best for the club and its membership.

A little about me personally, I live in New Carlisle, Indiana and have been married to Scott for 24 years. When I’m not on a horse I unfortunately have to work and have been an Account Manager at Archway Marketing Services for the past 12 years. I’ve had horses all my life and have been riding since I was able to walk. I was a 10 year 4-H member showing horses in all disciplines offered and have shown on and off since leaving 4-H while also sharing my enthusiasm for horses with my niece and anyone who will listen. I thoroughly enjoy the new challenge of cattle classes that RHAM has introduced me to, I’m officially addicted!

Thank you for your time and consideration.
