COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

We’re so happy you decided to show with the Ranch Horse Association of Michigan! Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions about showing:

All-Age Classes: These are commonly called “Open” classes at other shows. Anyone who is a member of ARHA can show in these classes, both professional and non-professional.

Amateur Classes: Any ARHA exhibitor who holds a valid ARHA Amateur Card may show in an Amateur Class.

Novice Amateur Classes: Visit http://www.americanranchhorse.net/ARHA-MEMBERSHIP.html for more details regarding eligibility.

Youth Classes: Any ARHA exhibitor who is 18 or younger at the beginning of the year, and who holds a valid ARHA Youth Card, may show in Youth Classes. For the Youth division, the year end awards and versatility (high point) awards are split into two ages:  14 to 18 and 13 & under.

Non-ARHA Points/Jackpot Classes: Anyone can show in the non-ARHA Point/Jackpot Classes. RHAM and ARHA membership and ARHA horse registration is not required for these classes.

Registration: To compete for points, year-end awards or versatility awards, exhibitors, owners and their horses must be registered with ARHA. For any RHAM award (year-end and/or versatility) the exhibitor must also be a member of RHAM. See RHAM Rules & Regulations for details.
